Host of the Gala Evening: Barbara Eligmann

We are delighted to welcome Barbara Eligmann, a well-known figure in the German media landscape, as the host of the gala evening on Saturday, February 7, 2026. Born in Ludwigshafen, the experienced presenter not only brings extensive stage and hosting expertise, but also a very personal connection to our hobby: her father is a pigeon fancier himself. This makes us especially pleased that Barbara Eligmann will guide us through the evening’s program.

Barbara Eligmann is familiar to many viewers from TV formats such as Explosiv – Das Magazin (RTL) and Clever! – Die Show, die Wissen schafft (Sat.1). Today, she primarily hosts high-profile events and live occasions, and we are very happy to be able to count on her experience and professionalism.

The gala evening at the German Football Museum will be one of the highlights of the 39th International Pigeon Exhibition. At the heart of the evening is the ceremonial awards presentation for the winners of the Sport and Standard Classes. In an elegant and unique setting, the breeders of the world’s finest pigeons will receive the recognition they truly deserve.
