Prime Minister Hendrik Wüst Becomes Patron

The Prime Minister of North Rhine-Westphalia, Hendrik Wüst, has accepted the patronage of the 39th International Racing Pigeon Exhibition 2026 in Dortmund. We are deeply proud to welcome the Prime Minister as patron and greatly appreciate the political support this lends to our event.

Commitment to Culture, History and Sport
The 50-year-old lawyer from Rhede supports a wide range of projects and foundations, not only in North Rhine-Westphalia, but throughout Germany. His particular focus is on initiatives that promote culture, history and sport.Among the organizations he supports are:

• the RAG Foundation
• the Kunststiftung NRW
• the Sportstiftung NRW
  (North Rhine-Westphalia Sports Foundation for Talent Development)
• the German Foundation for Civic Engagement and Volunteering

This list represents only a selection of his activities, but it illustrates the depth of Prime Minister Wüst’s commitment.

A Strong Signal for the Cultural Heritage of Racing Pigeons
That he also supports the Association of German Racing Pigeon Breeders and the Fédération Colombophile Internationale (FCI) highlights the importance of the cultural heritage of racing pigeon sport in North Rhine-Westphalia. We are therefore already looking forward to welcoming the Prime Minister on February 6, 2026, at the official opening of the 39th International Racing Pigeon Exhibition at the North Entrance of Messe Dortmund.
